Blogging?
by Matar Sami on Sep.21, 2009, under Music Production
I hate blogging…
I think only because I’m THIS close to being addicted to it. I don’t have time to do it, but I cant help thinking what I would write in a blog at every event of the day at the studio. Maybe a bad or good thing, or both. I’m an extremist; When I like something, I love it.
Break is over…

And its game time…
First and foremost, if there is ever a band or artist out there, from rock to jazz to hiphop, I want you here! recording, tracking, editing, mixing, jamming, rehearsing; whatever… There is no other studio out there that provides such a personal and creative working environment like we do, Advent Recording Studio. We’ve accommodated peeps from start up bands all the way to 30-million records sale artists. Till this day we have not had a client go anywhere else once they’ve had a session with us, for 1 reason: world renowned quality in every aspect of music creation. Unless your looking for the soulless bazillion dollar studios with marvel and oak everything and 24k gold music stands, then frankly I don’t see a reason why anyone would go anywhere else in Orange County.
Enough about that, lets talk toys for now…
This week iA, we’ll be adding a few gadgets to our arsenal of mayhem here at Advent Recording Studios. Starting with the what may seem to be one of the best instrument libraries I’ve heard in years, relatively at least. That library is EWQL’s Silk. For the sheer fact that EW is finally sampling legato intervals interests me, but the seller for me is that’s strictly an “ethnic” instrument library with such attention to detail, I’m impressed. It doesn’t hurt that they used there new superHD facility to record this library, at least from what I understand. I haven’t put in much time with Silk besides the demo so I can’t really say how I feel about it, but I’m sure I’ll have time this week to post about it once I put it work. Stay tuned for that…
Also, I’m getting in a few M-Audio Digital Pianos. I love M-Audio; consistent, high quality and often innovative. I’m getting in one brown and another black one like the one we have in the control room. I’m thinking the brown one can go in reception, and the other black one can go in the back to standby for live room use.
Alright, my first nonsense post on the new site is done, got some scoring to do. HOLLA AT YA BIRD!
